Iraq: Implementation of New Trademark Fees
Following our previous communication regarding Decision No. 26038 of 2026, kindly note that the Trademark Office in Baghdad has officially commenced the collection of the revised fees as of May 6, 2026. All trademark services under Law No. 21 of 1957 are now subject to these updated official costs, while the official fees in Kurdistan of Iraq were not affected.
Please be assured that JAH Intellectual Property continues to maintain its professional service charges at their current rates to ensure providing the most competitive fees to its clients and associations.

Libya: Relaunch of Electronic Trademark Publication System
The Libyan Commercial Registry Department has officially resumed the electronic publication of trademarks through its official website after a period of suspension. The newly released batch includes approximately 500 trademarks, spanning publication numbers 55261 to 57597. Pursuant to applicable local regulations, a strict 30-day opposition period applies to all newly published marks from their exact date of publication.
We are actively monitoring the portal and have identified several of our clients’ trademarks within this latest release. However, a significant portion of previously accepted trademarks with publication numbers prior to 55261 remain unpublished.
We are continuing our persistent follow-ups with the Commercial Registry Department to clarify the upcoming publication mechanism and safeguard these pending registrations.
