Subsequent to our circular letter dated July 11, 2023 wherein we communicated that Qatar has adopted the Gulf Cooperation Council Trademark Law which was published in the Official Gazette no. 09 dated 09 July 2023, the Trademarks Office had released an official statement No. 2/2023 on 13 July 2023 and confirmed today that the said law will be put in force as from 10 August 2023. Until then, the current law and fees will be maintained.
In this respect, trademark owners are encouraged to settle the publication and registration fees before the Trademarks Office adopt the newly increased fees.
